The Billboards

In partnership with BUILDHOLLYWOOD the creative was featured across 250+ Nationwide Billboard campaign across London, Manchester, Birmingham, Bristol, Glasgow, Sheffield and Liverpool. Photographed by Aicha Thomas and Jade Reynolds-Hemmings. I then hit the streets to speak to the people. We discussed the messaging, their thoughts and feelings along with their own experiences and awareness of Adultification Bias and its impact on Black girls.

The Webseries

As part of our campaign roll-out, it was important for us to also capture the perspective of women that have experienced Adultification Bias and how they're past experiences now manifests in their everyday lives.

Our series "Growing Pains" is a play on the term that speaks to growth that young kids go through that’s usually described as harmless. For us we’re subverting the concept to speak to the expedited growth and adolescence that Black girls experience, that can be in fact painful, confusing and harmful when they are subject to Adultification Bias.

Featuring Akua Gyamfi, Sade Salami and Nana Evans (Your Aunties Could Never Podcast), and Aaliyah Harry (Content Creator & Journalist). Photography by Jade Keshia Gordon.
